Sandy was killed in a car crash on a Caribbean island where she was doing some humanitarian work. We had kept in touch off and on after high school and I had had supper with her when she was home in late 1972 or early 1973. Then I found out she had been killed a month or so later. She was a very giving person who saw things that could be done to help others and pitched in to do them.
