Sat. Morning July 10?
Posted Tuesday, November 10, 2009 07:06 AM

Knotts and I are planning about a 30 mile cycling outing on saturday morning sometime. we will likely tour the points of interest meaningful to our class, i.e. out by the Katterhenry farm where we built our Junior? class float ( and it started snowing in Dan Pickerall's rambler as we were driving back to town listening to "Hey Jude" on the radio), past the high school, dairy queen, over to Woodland hills and the field we had so many no-pads, tackle football games---who can forget the turkey bowl, the snow bowl, etc.

So get off your butts and put away the smokes now and get riding-- it is much better on the body when your knees can't take jogging anymore.

Let me know here---and I'll provide time and place as the day draws near.  "roll on!"

That would be great Rodney, I am looking forward to this being more recreational than competitive---but perhaps you can remember how Terry is.  If any one wants to burn we can do that after the fun tour.

Bob I talked with Terry on Facebook, he's a good cyclist and triatlon guy! I'm a jogger or was? I do or did a lot of marathons and ultra-marathons but I'm slow. I had my hip replaced in May so I'm doing some cross training. I ride like I run SLOW, I have two speeds slow up and slow down! I'm back jogging and I have a new gear REAL SLOW! We need to post it on Facebook too! I'll ride with you but I won't wrestle you! Ha! :) Have a great week!

This will be fun, Rodney.  Hang in there with your hip rehab--I'll bet that is tough. I don't think you"ll be too worried about wrestling me. I remember you being pretty good yourself. After all you were always wiping up the mat with that wuss, Tom McMillan.

Bob & Rodney,

Rodney I'd forgotten you were a wrestler, but that makes sense since you knew all about Bob being the flyweight.  BTW Bob, how much do you weigh today? I'm at 222 that's a 11 lbs over my 211 fighting weight at 1972 at last year I played football at Wabash.

My wife looks at old photos, she said once, where did all that hard stuff go!

I'll do the 7-10 morning ride too, but I'll ride the Vespa.

Carl-- as a soph. I wrestled in the 95lb. weight class, junior year 112 pound weight class. I'm now in the 175 lb weight class and struggle to stay that way- two years ago I was in the 200 lb. weight class.    Ahhhh, youth.
